Be careful what you wish for…
Remember a while back when I complained that the Peter Pan statue was not “exclusive” enough for its high price tag and suggested that Playfish should lower the stock of limited items to 50,000? Well, sadly, I got my wish. Today, Pet Society released the solid gold teddy for 5,000 coins each and only 50,000 items were available. It’s far prettier and more scrumptious than the peter pan statue and has a lower price so it’s not surprising that it was snapped up much faster.
When Pet Society updated at 12 am GMT, it was 3 am where I live and I was very much asleep. I woke up at 6:30 am and had to hurry and prepare for work so checking the net even for just a few minutes was impossible. From 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, I was at work where I don’t have access to Facebook. As soon as I got home at 5:30 pm, I checked Pet Society to see the new items and this is what greeted me:
SOLD OUT??! Wtf!? I bet I’m not the only one who was asleep/at work/in school while all of this happened. While I appreciate Playfish’s attempt at making the item more rare than its contemporaries, did they even consider that not every living soul on the planet lives in Europe and the Americas? The eastern hemisphere has players who are busy throughout the day and only check the game at night when they can relax. Too bad we were not even given a chance.

I know, I went there and I was like >.<

I tried to get one, but whenever I did it took forever to load, and then it would crash. I ended up not getting one.
